Crash knocks out power to 1,200 HECO customers in Kalihi
More than 1,200 customers remain without power tonight in Kalihi after a vehicle crash knocked a utility pole down across Kamehameha IV Road near School Street, Hawaiian Electric Co. said tonight.
The crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. and knocked out power to 1,275 customers.
A HECO worker was able to restore power to about 40 customers. But service will not be restored to the remaining customers until 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. Sunday, HECO said.
