They may have been stuck on a strange island that didn’t appear on any maps, but we knew where to find them each week when ABC aired an episode of "Lost."

But how many times did we wonder, as the show’s mystery unfolded over six seasons, what the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 would do if they ever got off that island? The writers and producers provided some answers before a dying Dr. Jack Shephard closed his eyes in the last scene of the May 23 series finale. Still, a legion of fans was left to wonder what the ensemble cast of actors would do after they got off this island when filming wrapped.

Once found by fans and critics of the television phenomenon, would their careers be lost to obscurity?

With network pilots now in development, we thought it was time to flash forward to find out what the "Lost" actors are up to, thanks to clues provided by the networks; IMDB.com, the online resource for all things film and television; and other sources.

Matthew Fox (Dr. Jack Shephard), 44, is acting on stage in a three-month run of American playwright Neil LaBute’s "In a Forest Dark and Deep" in London’s Vaudeville Theater, co-starring Olivia Williams, right. After "Lost" ended, Fox moved his wife and two children from Hawaii to Oregon.

Daniel Dae Kim (Jin Kwon),42, has had the highest profile of the "Lost" alumni, playing Chin Ho Kelly on the CBS reboot of "Hawaii Five-0," seen above with Alex O’Loughlin. In between shooting the "Five-0" pilot and the regular season episodes, he had a role in the film "The Killing Game," with Samuel L. Jackson. Kim plays a modern-day gladiator, a role that allowed him to use his martial arts background.

Terry O’Quinn (John Locke), 58, just joined the cast of an ABC pilot called "Hallelujah" and will reportedly play a corrupt millionaire in a small Tennessee town struggling with the forces of good and evil. Episodes of "Hallelujah," whose executive producers are the "Desperate Housewives" team of Marc Cherry and Sabrina Wind, will include songs from a gospel choir that serves as a modern Greek chorus. And O’Quinn will sing as well.

Naveen Andrews (Sayid Jarrah), 42, had a guest role last year as a detective on "Law & Order: SVU" but apparently hasn’t been doing much in the way of acting.

Michael Emerson (Ben Linus), 56, is set to star in a pilot for CBS called "Person of Interest." It’s being executive produced by former "Lost" executive producer, writer and director JJ Abrams. Emerson stars as Finch, a mysterious billionaire who teams up with a former CIA agent to prevent violent crime in New York. And if you’re a close observer of NBC’s "Parenthood," you saw Emerson in a recent episode as the Amazing Andy Fitzgerald, a children’s birthday party entertainer.

Josh Holloway (James "Sawyer" Ford), 41, has a cameo in the season finale of NBC’s "Community" to air sometime in May. The network said he plays "a mysterious figure" who emerges at the show’s Greendale Community College campus during a game of paintball. He’s also been cast in the $140 million Tom Cruise film "Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol" currently shooting in Vancouver, B.C.

Evangeline Lilly (Kate Austen), 31, has a part in "Real Steel," the $80 million movie about giant robots that box each other. The film, which stars Hugh Jackman but doesn’t list a character name for Lilly, opens in October.

Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond Hume), 43, has been cast in the pilot for ABC’s "Damage Control," written and executive produced by the "Grey’s Anatomy" team of Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. The network describes his character — Stephen — as "a handsome, intense and brilliant litigator." The plot focuses on a professional fixer and her dysfunctional staff in a story based on the career of Judy Smith, a well-known crisis management consultant.

Jorge Garcia (Hugo "Hurley" Reyes), 37, has been busy with executive producer JJ Abrams projects, guest-starring in the sci-fi show "Fringe" on Fox and working on a pilot called "Alcatraz," shot last month in San Francisco and Vancouver, B.C. Garcia plays Dr. Diego Soto in a mystery about a group of prisoners who suddenly show up decades after they disappeared. Garcia, a frequent Hawaii visitor, has also been in the new ABC series "Mr. Sunshine," above with Matthew Perry, and in two films now in post-production: "When We Were Pirates" and "Maktub."

Harold Perrineau (Michael Dawson), 47, has had a variety of TV parts and will be involved in five projects this year: a vigilante story called "The Hungry Rabbit Jumps," a thriller called "Transit," the dark comedy "Cooler," a TV production called "The Wedding Band," and the part of Sammy Davis Jr. in a biopic about porn actress Linda Lovelace titled "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story."

Emilie De Ravin (Claire Littleton), 29, appeared in three films that were released last year: "Remember Me" with Robert Pattinson (the pretty boy from the "Twilight" saga), "The Chameleon" and "Operation: Endgame," which also starred Hawaii’s Maggie Q.

Dominic Monaghan (Charlie Pace), 34, time-traveled over to play Simon Campos in ABC’s short-lived "FlashForward" after his "Lost" character died at the end season 3. He starred in two movies: "Soldiers of Fortune," a completed film about thrill-seekers involved in military combat, and "The Day," a horror film shot in Ottawa that is in post-production. Monaghan was recently seen on the Grammy Awards red carpet after being featured in the music video for Eminem’s hit song "Love the Way You Lie" with Rihanna.

Yunjin Kim (Sun Kwon), 37, had a role in the 2010 Korean movie "Heartbeat" and will be in a movie to be released later this year titled "The Unconditional." Another film in which she stars, "Harmony," by director Kan Dae-gyu, will screen tomorrow at the AmerAsia Film Festival in Montreal. It focuses on a group of women who start a prison choir as a means of self-empowerment.
