Gunman steals man’s mo-ped

A 29-year-old man was robbed of his mo-ped at gunpoint while sitting at a Wahiawa bus stop Saturday night, police said.

The man told police that his mo-ped was parked beside him when a vehicle pulled up at about 10:20 p.m. and a male passenger in his 20s got out with a gun, police said.

When the passenger demanded the keys to the mo-ped, the man refused.

The passenger got out of the vehicle and put the mo-ped into the back of the vehicle, police said. 

Burglary suspect caught in Pearl City

A 30-year-old man was arrested for investigation of attempted burglary and possessing burglary tools Saturday when a witness saw him allegedly breaking into a Pearl City business, police said.

Police arrested the man at about 4:20 a.m. as he allegedly exited the business from a side door, police said.

Suspect broke into car, witnesses say

A 25-year-old man was arrested after he was allegedly spotted taking items from a woman’s car Saturday in Waipahu.

Police said the woman and two other witnesses saw the man enter and take items from the car at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday.

He was arrested on suspicion of breaking into a car.
