Hawaii sweeps Pepperdine in men’s volleyball
Jonas Umlauft and Joshua Walker each put down 15 kills to lead No. 10 Hawaii to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 sweep of No. 9 Pepperdine in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Nejc Zemljak and Walker each had two aces and Jarrod Lofy was in on five of the Warriors’ 10 blocks.
Hawaii (7-9, 5-6 MPSF) has defeated Pepperdine (6-8, 4-8) the last three meetings.
Matt Pollock and Maurice Torres led the Waves with six kills each.
The match lasted 92 minutes.
The teams meet again at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
