Two arrested following brawl at Stadium Park
Two men were arrested following a brawl at Honolulu Stadium Park in Moiliili Monday afternoon.
The men have no known permanent addresses; the park has been an increasingly popular hangout for homeless people.
Patrol officers responded to a fight at the park involving several men about 5:35 p.m. A man, 24, sustained injuries to his body and was struck in the head with a metal object. He was treated at a nearby hospital and released.
A second man, 43, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of second-degree assault after being identified by witnesses.
The older man then filed a cross-complaint, resulting in the arrest of the younger man on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening. Witnesses told police the younger man was armed with a knife.
