Hawaii beats No. 6 Texas in 15 innings
David Peterson scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the 15th inning to give Hawaii a 5-4 win over No. 6 Texas tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.
Zach Gallagher (1-0) allowed three hits in three scoreless innings to earn the win.
Peterson finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and Zack Swasey hit a three-run double with two outs in the eighth inning to the game at 4-4.
Junior Connor Little started for the Rainbows (3-3) and threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and one walk.
Gallagher and lefty Blair Walters combined to hold the Longhorns (4-3) scoreless over the final seven innings.
Kevin Lusson hit a two-run single off of Lenny Linsky in the eighth to give Texas a 4-1 lead.
