Names of candidates for UH regent seats are released
The Regents Candidate Advisory Council has presented Gov. Neil Abercrombie with a list of candidates for four seats on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents.
The candidates for two Honolulu seats that are opening are Terri T. Fujii, Mark H. Fukunaga, Coralie C. Matayoshi, Dale F. Saito, Jan N. Sullivan, and Keith M. Vieira.
The candidates for the Hawaii County seat are Carl A. Carlson, Jr. and Sandra W. Scarr.
For the Maui County seat, the candidates are Sherrilee K. Dodson, Georgia K. McMillen, and Saedene K. Ota.
The council released the names on Thursday. Members of the UH Board of Regents, as well as the Regents Candidate Advisory Council, serve voluntarily and are not paid.
