Blue Man Group switching Vegas casinos in 2012
LAS VEGAS — A troupe of blue-faced performers is taking its quirky act to a different Las Vegas Strip casino in the fall of 2012.
MGM Resorts International announced Thursday that Blue Man Group would move to the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino from the Venetian.
The Venetian is owned by Las Vegas Sands Corp. Officials say Blue Man Group will perform there through September 2012.
Blue Man Group will become the Monte Carlo’s latest headliner along with Jabbawockeez, a hip-hop dance troupe that won the first season of MTV’s "America’s Best Dance Crew."
Blue Man Group is known for funny, elaborate productions that include music and skits.
The troupe was founded in 1987 and has productions in New York, Tokyo and other cities. The group has performed in Las Vegas 11 years.
