Police respond to report of stabbing at Halawa housing project
Police and emergency crews responded to a report of a stabbing at the Puuwai Momi housing complex in Halawa shortly before 5:30 p.m. today.
A 17-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital in serious condition with wounds that are not life-threatening, a spokeswoman for the city Department of Emergency Services said. Two other people were being treated on scene, the EMS spokeswoman said.
Police confirmed one arrest in the case, but there was no word on the suspect’s gender.
Police radio chatter said the female taken to the hospital described her as having stab wounds to her arm.

A police dispatcher said the incident occurred at Building 20 at 91-117 Kohomua St.
Police radio chatter also described a suspect as a naked person running away from Building 20 of the complex to another part of the government housing project.
Puuwai Momi is across from Pearl Harbor and Aloha Stadium.
