Brushfire burns anew on Pearl City hillside
Firefighters returned this morning to the hillside above Pearl City to battle a stubborn brush fire they encountered Tuesday.
About five to six acres have been burned along a hiking trail at the end of Komo Mai Drive. Firefighters were called back about 9:20 today and declared it “99 percent contained” about 12:30 p.m., said fire Capt. Earle Kealoha.
About 15 firefighters fought the blaze.
