Weekend sewer work to close a Kalanianaole Highway lane for six weeks
Sewer rehabilitation work will affect traffic along Kalanianaole Highway in Aina Haina for the next six weeks, beginning Saturday.
The work is a continuation of the Kalanianaole Highway Sewer Rehabilitation Project that began in August, city officials said.
The rehabilitation work requires the right lane in the Koko Head-bound direction to be closed each weekend until Feb. 13, from 7 p.m. Saturdays to 2 p.m. Sundays.
For the first three weeks, crews will close the Koko Head-bound right lane between Wailupe Beach Park and West Hind Drive.
The next three weeks, the right lane in the Koko Head-bound direction will be closed between West Hind Drive and East Hind Drive.
Depending on traffic volume and conditions, the center lane may be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for the safety of the work crew.
