A heavy equipment construction mechanic freed himself this morning after being briefly trapped under machinery at the company’s Mapunapuna site.
Firefighters were summoned at 9:15 a.m. to Bacon Universal Co. at 918 Ahua St.
However, when firefighters arrived at the scene, the mechanic had already freed himself and was walking about, Capt. Terry Seelig, fire department spokesman said.
As a precaution, paramedics took the man to a local hospital for examination.
