Alleged shoplifter unsuccessfully tries to escape
Honolulu police arrested a 19-year-old Waianae woman who allegedly fought with witnesses who tried to detain her after the woman was seen shoplifting.
Police said a 61-year-old woman and 40-year-old man stopped the woman outside a store at 4600 Kapolei Parkway. But she allegedly resisted and tried to flee.
Police arrested the woman for second-degree robbery at about 11:40 a.m. yesterday.
