Hawaii sweeps Portland State in NCAA first round
Kanani Danielson put down 13 kills and Chanteal Satele added 12 as No. 7 Hawaii swept Portland State 25-23, 25-19, 25-8 in today’s first round of the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament in Seattle.
Brittany Hewitt was in on seven of Hawaii’s 11 blocks and Elizabeth Ka’aihue had 13 of the team’s 44 digs.
The Rainbow Wahine (29-2) will host Washington tomorrow (5:30 p.m. Hawaii time). The Huskies swept Michigan, 25-22, 25-17, 25-16 in yesterday’s second match.
