15 people evacuated from Kapolei credit union after complaints of noxious odors
About 15 people were evacuated from the Hickam Federal Credit Union’s Kapolei branch and a neighboring business in the Kapolei Shopping Center for about an hour this morning after employees complained of noxious odors.
The culprit turned out to be a malfunctioning uninterrupted power supply device in the bank.
One person complained of nausea, but no one required treatment or hospitalization following the incident, which occurred about 10 a.m., said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Terry Seelig.
