Japan leads Hawaii in Junior Cup
Hawaii won big, but Japan won more often in yesterday’s opening round of the fourth annual Asia Pacific Junior Cup, at Waikoloa’s Kings’ Golf Course.
Japan won five of the eight four-ball matches to move ahead 5-3 going into today’s foursome matches. The Cup, which brings together 32 of the finest juniors (ages 15-18) in Hawaii and Japan, concludes tomorrow with 16 singles matches.
