A Wahiawa doctor was charged today with conspiring to have his son’s mother killed and is being held on $1 million bail.

Dr. Dennis I. Ayon, an internist, asked a female patient if she would “do her in,” a police affidavit said.

The patient later told the woman, and subsequently police, about the plot, the police affidavit said.

Ayon, 48, was arrested at his Wahiawa office Monday afternoon.

The bail condition requires that it be paid entirely in cash.

Ayon has been certified to practice medicine in Hawaii since 1998.
