DCCA executive tapped as new administrative director of Hawaii’s court system
Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald has selected a new administrative director for the state’s court system
Rodney A. Maile will start the job Dec. 1, with tasks including budgeting, planning and personnel matters. He succeeds Rick Keller, who is retiring at the end of November.
Recktenwald said Monday that Maile is experienced and qualified after serving in various administrative capacities in state government.
Maile was most recently the deputy director for the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and he was also the senior hearings officer within the department.
Recktenwald was director for the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs from 2003 to 2007.
