Woman arrested for allegedly trying to steal employee’s tips in Hawaii Kai
A 26-year-old woman who tried to steal a 29-year-old employee’s tips was arrested today in Hawaii Kai.
The Hawaii Kai woman bought a cup of coffee before grabbing the cash from a tip jar about 11 a.m., police said.
The female employee demanded the money back and the two struggled.
Police found the woman near the shop at Hawaii Kai Towne Center and arrested her on suspicion of second-degree robbery. For her residence, she gave the same address as Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
