Ill visitor rescued from a Kauai trail
A 52-year-old German visitor was rescued by helicopter yesterday from a trail on Kauai.
The man began feeling ill from a heart condition while hiking along Kalalau Trail in Hanakoa Valley about 1 p.m., said Kauai County spokeswoman Mary Daubert.
Another hiker found him and called for help.
A fire helicopter took him to Princeville Airport where paramedics treated and released him.
