City bus reportedly runs over a man’s foot in Chinatown
A city bus reportedly ran over a man’s foot today in Chinatown.
The accident occurred about 2:20 p.m. on Hotel Street in front of Amy’s Place at Smith Street.
Police said the man is an stable condition.
Glynne Parry, of Australia, said he tried to chase down the driver before he drove off. He knocked on the door and said a man was hit.
“He shrugged his shoulders, the lights changed, and he drove away,” Parry said.

Police said the driver of TheBus returned to the scene and is cooperating with police.
No one saw the man get hit, but noticed him on the ground after the bus passed, police said. A witness said he heard a crunch and saw the man lying in the street after the bus passed.
Police said the victim refused to make a statement.
A supervisor for TheBus declined to comment.
