Libraries at UH-Manoa to close during winter break
The University of Hawaii at Manoa says Hamilton and Sinclair libraries will close during the winter interim.
UH officials said the closure of the libraries Dec. 18 through Jan. 2 is part of the collective bargaining agreement and an accommodation to the reduced budget allocation from the state.
The libraries are to reopen Jan. 3, the week before spring semester begins.
Officials said that during the closure, the libraries will try to provide access to the Library Catalog and the many electronic resources and databases to which the libraries subscribe on behalf of the university community.
Although the Interlibrary Loan Office in Hamilton Library will be closed, the officials said the ILL database will keep running.
