Wie 7 strokes back at LPGA Hana Bank
INCHEON, South Korea » Michelle Wie shot a second-round 73 today for a 1-under total that put her seven strokes behind leader Song-Hee Kim at the LPGA Hana Bank Championship.
Kim shot her second straight 4-under 68 to lead defending champion Na Yeon Choi by one.
Vicky Hurst was third at 6 under after a 70.
Bown helps Team USA to win
Former Hawaii All-America middle Heather Bown had four kills and six blocks to help Team USA to a 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21 win over Thailand yesterday in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship in Matsumoto, Japan.

Chaminade topples Dominican
Pisila Tukla had 12 kills and Kylee Pedro added 11 to lead Chaminade to a 25-22, 27-29, 25-14, 25-19 women’s volleyball victory over Dominican (San Rafael, Calif.) at McCabe Gym.
Kristy Inamasu had 17 digs and Tanya Alvino had 46 assists for the Silverswords (6-12). Cayla Morphew led the Penguins (3-22) with 11 kills.
Hawaii Pacific tops NDNU
Natasha Bell had 13 kills as Hawaii Pacific defeated Notre Dame de Namur (Belmont, Calif.) 25-18, 17-25, 25-11, 25-13 yesterday at St. Andrew’s Priory gym.
The Sea Warriors improved to 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the PacWest. Ashley Fox led the Argonauts (4-14, 2-9) with nine kills.
BYUH fights back to beat Dixie State
Lauren Hagemeyer blasted 14 kills to lead Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 26-28, 25-21, 25-21, 25-18 victory over Dixie State (St. George, Utah) in Laie last night.
BYUH improved to 13-6 overall and 10-2 in the PacWest.
Alex Shearer led the Red Storm (12-9, 7-6) with 12 kills.
