Maili woman arrested for allegedly embezzling more than $100,000
A 27-year-old Maili woman embezzled more than $100,000 from a Kalihi business where she worked, police said.
The woman, of a St. John’s Road address, was arrested at 10 a.m. yesterday without incident at 1804 Hart St. She was booked on one count of first-degree theft and 98 counts of second-degree forgery.
Police said she used forged business checks to steal the money over a 22-month period.
