Taxi driver robbed in Keeaumoku area
A taxi driver was robbed in the Keeaumoku area this morning, the second robbery of a cabbie in Honolulu this week.
Today’s 5:20 a.m. robbery involved three suspects, a man in his early 30s, a man in his early 40s, and a woman in her early 40s, police said.
Police said the taxi driver, a 43-year-old man, picked up the passengers in the McCully area and drove them to the Keeaumoku district. When they reached their destination, one of the suspects brandished a knife.
The victim struck the suspect and all three suspects fled the scene, police said.
The suspects are still being sought.
On Monday around 6:20 p.m., a taxi driver picked up a suspect and dropped him off in Kalihi, police said.

An unknown object was put against the neck of the cabbie, a 54-year-old man, and the suspect demanded money, police said. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
