Touch Rugby finals tomorrow
The finals of the Hawaii Touch Rugby Tournament are tomorrow beginning at 1:15 p.m. at Keehi Lagoon.
The opening ceremony is at 1 p.m. with a traditional ava (kava) ceremony performed by the Tatau Organization of Hawaii at the 3:30 p.m. awards program.
Amateur boxing card coming up
The 6th Clint Shelton Memorial Match, featuring some 20 bouts between amateur boxers from four islands, is scheduled for Oct. 30 at Palolo District Park Gym.
The first fight is scheduled for 6 p.m. Interested boxers must be registered with USA-Boxing.

Lacrosse tourney anniversary
The Iroquois Nationals lacrosse team headline the field of next week’s Hawaii Lacrosse 20th Anniversary Invitational at Kapiolani Park.
This will be the first competition for the Iroquois Nationals since the team was unable to compete at the FIL Lacrosse World Championship in June due to visa complications.
Play is in three men’s divisions and one women’s division with some 30 teams from Hawaii, Japan, Canada and the U.S. mainland competing.
Next Friday’s schedule has free youth clinics for Native Hawaiians at 10:30 a.m., and interested boys and girls at 4 p.m. Competition starts at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 and 31, with championship games on Oct. 31 at 1:30 p.m.
Proceeds benefit the Aloha Youth Lacrosse Association and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Success for Eastsidaz basketball
Four teams from the Eastsidaz Girls Basketball Club captured titles in a basketball tournament held at the Hilton Convention Center in Las Vegas.
In all, more than 30 girls teams from California, Arizona and Nevada competed in different age brackets.
The Hawaii teams won in the 10-under (4-0), 13-under (4-1), junior varsity (4-0) and varsity (4-0) divisions. Another team (12-under) finished with a 2-2 record.
