Former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann spent more than $3.4 million on his unsuccessful campaign in the Democratic primary for governor, or about $38 a vote.
Hannemann raised $101,606 in the last two weeks before the primary and more than $3.5 million overall, including money transferred from his mayoral campaigns. He had $142,636 in cash on hand at the end of the primary.
The Hannemann campaign’s latest campaign-finance report was not posted on the state Campaign Spending Commission’s website on Monday in time for the information to be included in a story on primary election fundraising for yesterday’s newspaper.
