Photos adorn leather pillow
Your memories can now be preserved in leather.
Michigan company SmArt Leather Designs has developed a process to reproduce a photo or graphic image on a customized leather pillow. The printing technology isn’t a transfer, but a permanent process that infuses the image into the leather so it won’t fade or wear off over time, the company says.
The process can be used to reproduce photos, corporate logos, monograms, text or other graphic elements.
The pillows are sold by the online retailer Big Hug (248-594-1560 or http://www.bighugllc.com). You can build your own pillow by uploading a graphic or photo, choosing a size and in some instances picking a coordinating fabric and trim. Prices range from $99 to $150.

In the ad that debuted last week, O’Donnell tells the camera, "I’m not a witch," making light of comments she made on a talk show in 1999.
The spoof began with "SNL" actress Kristen Wiig using lines similar to the ad. It then diverged into the absurd, with Wiig asking, "Isn’t that what the people of Delaware deserve? A candidate who promises first and foremost that she’s not a witch? That’s the kind of candidate Delaware hasn’t had since 1692."
O’Donnell responded with a Twitter posting yesterday morning, saying the skit was funny and adding, "I have to admit, her hair looked better than mine."
Big bucks buy b-ball signed by 2 Michaels
MACAU » An auction of some 100 items of Michael Jackson memorabilia has fetched more than $1 million, with a basketball autographed by the late singer and Michael Jordan netting $245,000.
Showing the lingering appeal of the "King of Pop," the sale Saturday in the southern Chinese city of Macau drew bidders from around the world.
An unidentified Internet bidder paid $180,000 for a black, crystal-studded glove and an arm brace Jackson wore while filming a promotional video for his 1995 album "HIStory." An Internet bidder also bought the basketball.
Of the 435 total items up for sale, other non-Jackson items sold included a costume worn by Bruce Lee during the filming of "Game of Death" and a costume Madonna donned during her "Girlie Show" world tour.
