Queen’s patient arrested after breaking glass door, window in outburst
A Queen’s Medical Center patient was arrested today after causing more than $2,000 in damage during a stay at the hospital.
The 24-year-old man was being held at the hospital for observation and was being escorted to another part of the facility earlier this week when he became upset and broke a sliding glass door with a table leg, causing more than $1,500 in damage, police said. The following day, the patient became upset again and used a wooden desk to break a window, causing more than $500 in damage.
The man was released from the hospital and arrested on suspicion of second- and third-degree criminal property damage. The police report on the incident indicated his address was unknown.
