Traffic on the H-1 Freeway through town is slowed by accidents and wet roads this morning.

Two accidents happened near the Queen Emma Street overpass at about 6:30 a.m., and a third happened around the nearby Nuuanu Avenue Overpass in the Koko Head direction just after 8 a.m.

A sports utility vehicle overturned on the Punchbowl Street on-ramp in the Ewa direction, closing the on-ramp to traffic at about 6:30 a.m. A woman who appeared to be in her 20s was taken to a trauma center in stable condition, said Bryan Cheplic, city Department of Emergency Services spokesman.

At about the same time, a car rear-ended a motorcycle in the Koko Head bound-lanes tied up traffic in that direction. There were no serious injuries.

There were also no serious injuries in the accident near the Nuuanu Overpass.

Police also responded to a power outage in the Punahou and Moiliili areas which shut down traffic lights.

Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman Darren Pai said the outage affected 1,800 customers from 7 a.m until about 8:15 a.m., when power was restored. The cause of the outage is under investigation.
