Student with slingshot prompts Waianae High lockdown
School officials put Waianae High School in lockdown status after receiving reports that a student was shooting a slingshot on campus today.
Police dispatch received the call at 12:28 p.m. today.
The school remained locked down for 20 minutes as a precaution, said Sandy Goya, spokeswoman for the Department of Education.
No one was injured, she said.
