Man sought in Wahiawa sex assault
Police are asking for the public’s help to find the man who sexually assaulted a woman last night at the Wahiawa Shopping Center.
The woman in her 20s was walking down the stairs at 823 California Ave. when the man came up from behind, demanded money and then sexually assaulted her, police said.
The man, in his 20s, is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a gray shirt and long denim pants.
Police said he is wanted for first-degree sexual assault.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone. Anonymous text messages can be sent to 274637 or CRIMES from a cell phone along with "CS808" in the message.
Child used as prop in stroller theft
A 36-year-old Hawaii Kai woman used her daughter to shoplift a baby stroller from an Ala Moana store, police said.

Store security officers told police they observed the woman put her daughter into the stroller Wednesday afternoon and then walk away with it.
They detained the woman after she left the store and police arrested her at 5:15 p.m. for theft.
