UH soccer falls at Saint Mary’s
The Hawaii soccer team managed just three shots in a 3-0 loss to Saint Mary’s in Moraga, Calif., yesterday.
UH (2-5) dropped its second straight after falling 8-1 at No. 21 California on Sunday, the most goals surrendered in program history.
Sara Ives scored just before halftime for the Gaels (5-0), who added scores by Jordan Marada and Brianna Campos in the 59th and 73rd minutes.
UH coach Pinsoom Tenzing felt the team lost the game at midfield by giving away too many balls.
"We have two weeks to work on (scoring), and we certainly will," he said. "We’re having a hard time creating offense."
The Rainbow Wahine were shut out for the third time this season.
