Calling all ghost writers

Spin your most haunting tale of horror and the supernatural in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s inaugural Halloween Fiction Contest.

Entries are limited to 750 words and must be original work never before published. The winning entry will receive a $200 cash prize and be published in the Today section on Oct. 31. The second-place story will be awarded $100. The contest is open to Hawaii residents; Oahu Publications contributors, employees and their family members are not eligible. The deadline for entries is Oct. 6. Please submit a photo of the baby alone or that can be easily cropped to only show the baby, along with a copy of the baby’s birth certificate and a copy of the birth announcement form, available at staradvertiser.com.
