THE CHAMPS RETURN TO HAWAII
The Ewa Hurricanes, champions of the PONY Bronco World Series, came home to a party yesterday, beginning at Honolulu airport. The team won all six of its games in the Series.
Team members are Justin Areola, Darren Gallano, Garrison Gamil, Kainoa Ganancial, Dorrien Hermosura, Jobe Ibana, Ian Kahaloa, Christian James Laroco, Jake Mendoza, Gaston Palipti, Rusty Pascua, Dewayne Sprinkel, Chase Wago and Hugh Yamashiro. The coaches are Randall Wago, Dean Ibana, Greg Palipti and Shag Hermosura.

Reardon to speak at QB Club

Star-Advertiser sports columnist Dave Reardon will be the featured speaker at tomorrow’s meeting of the Honolulu Quarterback Club.

Reardon will be joined by Oceanic sports director Dave Vinton, OC 16’s Howard Dashefsky and Linda Kaiser, a member of the Hawaii Swimming Hall of Fame.

Lunch is served at 11:30 at the Maple Garden restaurant, with the program to follow at noon.

 

UH football tickets on sale tomorrow

Individual tickets for the University of Hawaii football games this fall will go on sale tomorrow at the Stan Sheriff Center box office.

Ticket prices range from $12 to $50 for the USC game on Sept. 2 and $12 to $38 for all other games.
