3.5-magnitude quake rattles Oahu
The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed a pair of earthquakes that shook Hawaii residences today.
A 3.5 magnitude quake occurred at 3:27 p.m. just two miles east-southeast of Honolulu and was felt throughout Oahu.
The first occurred 40 miles south-southwest of Hilo at 11:46 a.m. and registered at 2.4 magnitude.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no tsunami is expected, based on preliminary data.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
