Isagawa finishes second at Callaway
Hawaii state high school champion Cassy Isagawa played her final two rounds in 8 under par, but she couldn’t catch Mexico’s Gabriela Lopez in the final round of the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships.

Isagawa, a Baldwin senior from Wailuku, shot her second straight 69 yesterday at the par-73 Torrey Pines North Course in La Jolla, Calif. Her four-round total of 289 was seven shots off the pace set by Lopez, who closed with a 70 for a 282 total.
Isagawa finished second in the Girls 15-17 Division. ‘Iolani’s Marissa Chow (70–292) was fourth, Punahou’s Alina Ching (77–296) shared eighth, Kauai High’s Kelly Oride (77–305) tied for 20th and Punahou’s Hee Sue Condry (81–312) tied for 33rd.
Only the top 33 advanced to the final day.
Lahaina’s Aaron Kunitomo tied for eighth in the boys division. Kunitomo closed with a 2-over 74, for a 293 total at Torrey Pines South. Canada’s Adam Svensson won, with a score of 72–282.
Kunitomo was the only Hawaii boy to make the cut. The top 58 played the final round.

Fujikawa fires 68
Hawaii’s Tadd Fujikawa eliminated his double-bogey bug suffered the previous two rounds and fired a third-round 3-under-par 68 yesterday in the eGolf Tour’s Southern Open, at Kannapolis, N.C.
Fujikawa, 19, had four birdies and a bogey at the par-71 Club at Irish Creek course. His 54-hole total of 7-under 206 is seven back of leader Todd Murphy, a former teaching pro at Kapalua.
The final round is today.
Fujikawa, who had double bogeys in each of his first two rounds, is attempting to earn his third straight top-25 finish and fifth of the season.
