Korean culture on display at festival on Saturday

The Ninth Annual Korean Festival happens Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. The free event will feature Korean music, dance, food, cultural displays, family activities and Korean-made products.

THIS WEEK’S SYNOPSES

"Definitely Neighbors," Episodes 9-12
Tonight, 6:45 p.m.: Ji-yong’s disgusted by the fact that Sung-jae slept over at Mee-jin’s house while Eun-seo’s in the hospital. Eun-seo won’t talk to Sung-jae after she leaves the hospital. Mee-jin sees Sung-jae wavering and starts to have doubts herself. Gun-hee takes Ji-yong on a day trip. Mee-jin asks Sung-jae’s mother for help. Sun-ok’s frustration with her husband keeps getting worse.
Tonight, 7:45 p.m.: Gun-hee tells Ji-yong that he’s starting to like her. Ki-hoon breaks up with Ha-yong after he finds out that she’s not interested in marriage at all. Sun-ok, Ji-yong’s stepmom, is really getting tired of having her retired husband at home. Sung-jae and Mee-jin decide to take their time until Eun-seo accepts them. Yong-sil finally goes on a blind date, but she sees Woo-jin at the same restaurant.
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung-soon goes to Woo-jin’s house and mistakes Yong-sil for the maid when she finds her doing the dishes. Mee-jin bumps into Ji-yong at the restaurant, and they have an awkward meeting there. Ha-yong goes to Ki-hoon’s house and has a heart-to-heart talk with Yong-sil. Sun-ok’s frustration grows with In-soo home all day long.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Sung-jae finds out that Ji-yong started working at night and has to leave Eun-seo alone at home. He also sees Gun-hee in front of her house and thinks there is something going on between Gun-hee and Ji-yong. In-soo goes out just to make Sun-ok happy, even though he has no one to meet with. Yong-sil has dinner with Woo-jin and decides that they were not meant to be after all.

"Princess Prosecutor," Episodes 15-16
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Sangtae confesses to Hyeri that Yu Myungwoo tried to hurt him so he fought back and accidentally killed him. Sangtae tells her to quit her job and go abroad to study so he can turn himself in now. Hyeri’s mom asks Hyeri why she didn’t beg Inwoo to forgive Sangtae. Hyeri says she couldn’t because she felt bad for Inwoo for having to live without his parents for the past 15 years.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: In this final episode, Inwoo and Hyeri work together to find evidence that both of their fathers weren’t the ones who killed Myungwoo. Sangtae goes to the prosecutors’ office with Inwoo as his attorney to get examined. When Sangtae sees Hyeri, he tells her not to say hi to him because he doesn’t want Hyeri to look bad in front of her co-workers. Sangtae breaks down in tears and apologizes to Inwoo for putting the blame on his father.

"Life Is Beautiful," Episodes 17-18
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Byungjun wakes up with a bad hangover and realizes he wet his bed. His mother catches him as he takes his sheets to the laundry room. Byunggeol is dying to tell everyone about Byungjun’s accident. Minjae offers to go house hunting with Taeseop, but he refuses.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Taeseop leaves abruptly when he sees Kyungsu’s mother’s shoes. Kyungsu feels bad for Taeseop, but he tells him not to worry. Jihye surprises everyone by announcing her plans to open a cafe. Everyone’s against the idea, but Jihye insists it’ll be the only way she can stay home with the new baby and still work.
