Two men were arrested for theft after they stole a firearm and other items from a Hawaii Kai apartment yesterday.

Police said the items were taken from a man whose daughter allowed her boyfriend and two other men into their home.

One of the men, 20, was also arrested for contempt of court for having an outstanding traffic warrant. The other man, 37, was also arrested for promotion of a dangerous drug for having a powdery white substance in his possession during the arrest at their Waikiki residence.

Both were later released pending investigation.
