A fire destroyed a two-story home in Honomu on the Big Island’s Hamakua Coast, firefighters said.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents of the home.

The fire was fully involved and the roof had collapsed when firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $122,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

 The fire was reported at 9:12 p.m. Firefighters arrived at 9:30 p.m. and brought the fire under control at 10:05 p.m. It was extinguished at 11: 40 p.m.
