Changes. We have made many during our first two weeks and plan many more. Some result from your critiques and suggestions — thank you — and others stem from our daily evaluations.

We are fine-tuning the front pages of all sections and making minor tweaks throughout the paper dealing with color, fonts and spacing that you might not spot easily but contribute to an easier-to-read package.

During the next few weeks, as we assimilate the staffs of the two former papers, we will continue to extend coverage to new areas, expand coverage of others and add a column or two.

Changes in features will include the addition of a bridge column, more comics and a new comics lineup, printed larger. For specifics, see page G1. Last week we added the crossword puzzle that many readers requested (and we apologize for recent puzzle problems).

In the Money section, look for changes in the daily stock listings. Also, Money is now a stand-alone section every Friday.
