Woman released in Big Island kidnapping case
Big Island police last night released a 35-year-old Honokaa woman who allegedly kidnapped and cut a 21-year-old Honaunau woman.
Police said the younger woman was visiting the older woman’s ex-boyfriend at his Captain Cook house Sunday.
The 35-year-old woman threatened the other woman, assaulted her with a knife, cut some of her hair and told her to get into a car with two other women. They drove her to Kaloko industrial area and Waimea, where she escaped.
She suffered superficial lacerations to her neck and chest.
The 35-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, terroristic threatening and assault.
