Mosi Tatupu memorial set for June 20

A memorial service for Mosi Tatupu will be held June 20 at the Punahou School chapel.

Tatupu, a standout athlete at Punahou in the 1970s, died on Feb. 23 at age 54. Tatupu was among the state’s greatest prep athletes and went on to a successful career at Southern California. He then became a popular figure over his 14 years with the New England Patriots.

Visitation starts at 12:30 p.m., with the service to begin at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a fund benefiting youth football in American Samoa. Checks should be made to USA Football, with "Mosi Tatupu Memorial Fund" on the memo line.

Donations can also be sent to USA Football, c/o Mosi Tatupu Memorial Fund, 8300 Boone Blvd., Suite 625, Vienna, Va. 22182.
