Man arrested in Waikiki skateboard assault
Police arrested a 20-year-old man who allegedly hit a 26-year-old man with a skateboard in Waikiki and was seen rifling through his pockets.
Police said the two men were arguing at the intersection of Kalakaua and Kaiulani avenues at about 2:15 a.m. yesterday morning when the 20-year-old, who has no local address, hit the other man in the face with a skateboard. Police were nearby and arrested the suspect for assault and theft.
