Fallen tree hit power lines, closed Makiki Street
A Hawaiian Electric Co. crew restored electricity to 40 customers who lost power when a tree knocked down electrical lines on Makiki Street Monday morning.
The outage was reported at 8:15 a.m.
Police closed Makiki Street between Round Top Drive and Makiki Heights Road as crews repaired the line and removed the tree. The street reopened about 9 p.m.
