Kahiapo dedicated “In the Real Old Style” to the memory of island theater icon Ron Bright, who died July 7, and closed his set with “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” as a tribute to Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo‘ole. Helm’s hana hou number was “Hawaiian Soul,” the song Randy Borden and Jon Osorio wrote as a requiem for her uncle, Hawaiian nationalist George Helm.
