St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong has a 1,585,265 vote gap to close before balloting ends Thursday to select the starters for the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

Wong has 4,730,848 votes to the 6,316,113 of the leader, Miami’s Dee Gordon, according to Monday’s announcement by MLB.

Gordon leads the major leagues in batting average at .353.

Voting ends at 5:59 p.m. Hawaii time Thursday and the starters will be announced Sunday.

Votes can be cast at mlb.com or the team websites.

The game will be played July 14 in Cincinnati.
