Early-bird discounted season tickets are now on sale for the Hawaii Pops’ third season, which kicks off Oct. 10 with a concert featuring local favorites Amy Hanaiali‘i, Aidan James and Henry Kapono.
Pops artistic director Matt Catingub will lead the group through an eclectic schedule of six concerts at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Jimmy Borges will be the star of a centennial tribute to Frank Sinatra on Nov. 28. In "Top to Bottom," scheduled for Feb. 5, Catingub and the Pops will play the music of two Beatles albums, "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver," in their entirety. Other featured performers include Loretta Ables-Sayre, singer Christina Souza and violinist Amy Schwartz-Moretti.
Kenny Loggins, a Hawaii favorite since the early days of Loggins & Messina, will close the season May 7 performing as a member of the Blue Sky Riders.
Individual tickets are $45, $79 and $99 at HawaiiPops. com. Season ticket packages offer discounts of up to 15 percent off single ticket prices; season ticket packages purchased before July 31 receive an additional 5 percent discount.
