Body of woman, 92, found in Koko Marina waters

The body of a 92-year-old woman was recovered from the water behind Koko Marina Center in Hawaii Kai Tuesday morning, police said.

“There were no suspicious circumstances or obvious signs of foul play,” a Honolulu Police Department summary of the incident said.

The Honolulu Fire Department, along with Honolulu police, responded to the scene behind Zippy’s at Koko Marina Center in Hawaii Kai after a 911 call just after 7:30 a.m.

First responders from HFD pulled the woman from the water, and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services paramedics assisted with the woman’s death pronouncement.

Correction: Honolulu police said the woman was 92. An earlier version of this story said she was 80 based on an estimate from another agency.
