Wendy Hensel chosen to lead the University of Hawaii
Wendy Hensel, executive vice chancellor and university provost for The City University of New York, will take over the University of Hawaii system in January — earning an annual salary of $675,000 — after UH regents unanimously selected her Thursday. Hensel, 54, follows President David Lassner, who will retire at the end of the year, and will become the 16th president of the 10-campus system.
